The Pakistan cricket team will be locking horns against England for their last and final game of the league stage of the ODI World Cup 2023, slated to take place on November 11 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Notably, Babar Azam and Co.’s chances of reaching the semi-final are almost impossible after the New Zealand cricket team gets a great win over Sri Lanka on November 9 at M. Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium.

Pakistan currently sits in the fifth spot with a poor net run rate as compared to the strong Kiwis. Notably, the Men in Green had a great start to their campaign, but they went on to lose against India, Australia, South Africa, and Afghanistan, which dampened their chances of reaching the playoffs. However, if they manage to get the win, then they will be facing arch-rivals India in the first semi-final game.

Meanwhile, former Pakistan cricketer Wasim Akram has revealed the hilarious plan by which his side can reach the semi-final to face hosts. The legendary cricketer says that the Men in Green should win the toss and post the score as much as they can. However, the former right-arm pacer believes that they should lock the England team in the dressing room for around 20 min and should appeal for a timed out in which they not only defeat the defending champions but also reach the semis.

“Make whatever score that is possible and then go and lock the dressing room of the England team for 20 minutes so that all their batters get timed out.”
