WATCH: Alzarri Joseph dismisses danger man Nicholas Pooran immediately after getting him on no-ball in CPL 2023
The Trinbago Knight Riders won by 7 wickets against the St. Lucia Kings during the 24th match of the CPL 2023 on September 10 at Brain Lara Stadium in Trinidad. The most exciting moment arrived when the great bowler Alzarri Joseph got the danger man, Nicholas Pooran, during the play. Notably, despite his crucial wicket, his side won the match with seven balls to spare.
Speaking about the match here, Trinbago Knight Riders skipper Kieron Pollard won the toss and invited Lucia Kings to bat first. Notably, after being sent to bat first, Lucia Kings posted 167/3 in the given 20 overs. The star opener, Munro, hammered 72 runs from 51 balls that featured six boundaries and four sixes with a solid strike of 142 to give a stellar start to his side. Following him, the great batters Roston Chase and Williams also scored 32 and 34 runs, respectively, to post the great total against Pollard’s side.

Later, while chasing, the Knight Riders had a solid start as New Zealand batter Martin Guptill hammered 16 runs while Mark Deyal scored 57 runs from 45 balls, which gave a decent start to his side. Following him, star batter Nicholas Pooran came at the crease and looked in great position as he hammered two boundaries and a six before getting out for 15 runs from 11 balls. Notably, the left-handed batter is known as one of the most destructive batsmen in cricket history, as he recently guided his side, MI New York, to win the inaugural edition of MLC 2023.
In addition, as the southpaw departed, star batters Tucker and Russell remained unbeaten with scores of 38 and 29 to make sure his side crossed the finish line. With this win, the Trinbago Knight Riders maintain their top position at the points table and confirm their place in the playoffs. Meanwhile, like the Knight Riders, the Amazon Warriors have also sealed a spot in the playoffs while finishing in the top two in the points table.
