Star batter Andre Russell smashed Haris Rauf for a huge 108-metre six at midwicket during the San Francisco Unicorns vs Los Angeles Knight Riders match. Dwayne Bravo had earlier smashed a six for the Texas Super Kings at 106 metres.

San Francisco Unicorns (SFU) batter Corey Anderson also struck a massive 102-metre-six against the Los Angeles Knight Riders (LAKR) at Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas during the same game. The Southpaw scored 39 runs in 20 balls to help his side reach 212/7.

During the eighth match of the MLC 2023, played on Wednesday in Dallas, the San Francisco Unicorns defeated the LA Knight Riders by a margin of 21 runs. LAKR were reduced to 191/5 in 20 overs while attempting to chase down a 213-run target, with Shadab Khan claiming two wickets for Aaron Finch’s team. Owing to Matthew Wade’s excellent inning of 78 runs off 41 balls, SFU earlier scored 212/7 in 20 overs while batting first.

SFU’s opening batter, Matthew Wade, struck out the MLC’s fastest batter earlier in the inning in order to get his team off to an excellent start against LAKR. The stylish left-handed batter gave his team a quick start after collecting 88 runs for the first wicket with Finn Allen. The southpaw’s magnificent innings, featuring seven fours and five sixes, came to an end in the 14th over of the match. Marcus Stoinis also produced 37 runs off 18 balls, hitting three fours and two sixes, before Anderson came to finish the inning to post a massive total on the board.

LAKR has been playing extremely miserable cricket

Meanwhile, LAKR has been playing extremely miserable cricket, losing both of their league opening games before losing to the San Francisco Unicorns on Wednesday. The Los Angeles Knight Riders need to win the upcoming matches if they want to be in the playoff race. At present, they are at the bottom of the points table after their poor performances.
