WATCH: Indian Cricket Team begin practice for Test series against England in Hyderabad

Rohit Sharma & Co. are ready to take on Three Lions in the 5-match Test series which will start from 25th January. Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad is set to host the 1st game of this series. Both the teams have landed in Hyderabad and have begun their practice session with full energy.

India has dominated away teams on the home soil since long back. Till now India has won 16 series in a row. But the new term ‘Bazball’ by England team will be a concern for the team India. Even though the wicket of Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium is batting friendly as it allows batters to score big runs.

At this Stadium India has played five Test matches and two of those games went on the fifth day two ended on the fourth day and one against West Indies ended in three days. India at this venue has not lost a game while it has only one draw. Also, this venue has hosted Three World Cup 2023 games. This stadium has a capacity of 55,000 people.

The Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal has already started to prepare for the Test series opener. The stadium is slightly revoted as they have installed new canopies above the left block of the spectator’s stand. Also, new seats have been installed with new sponsors set as the stadium gets ready for the big event.

HCA President Jagan Mohan Rao has stated that around 26,000 tickets are sold for the 1st Test match. On 26th January soldiers of the Indian army can come to watch the match with their families for free of cost and also 600 tickets will be distributed to school children.

Virat Kohli unavailable for the first two Test games

India star batter Virat Kohli has made himself unavailable for the two games against England due to personal reasons as the Indian Cricket Board announced on Monday.

The Indian Cricket Broad has pleased media and fans to respect Kohli’s privacy during this period. The main focus should be on India as they face a big challenge over the England team.  India may face a challenge in the middle order due to Kohli’s unavailability for the first two Tests.
