WATCH: MS Dhoni and Dwanye Bravo seen dancing on Chennai franchise’s Whistle Podu anthem’s new version

MS Dhoni was spotted sitting in the newly-added home team dugout at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai, where he has been working extremely hard to prepare for the upcoming Indian T20 League before the third ODI between India and Australia. With the international game taking place and the upcoming Indian T20 League switching back to the home-and-away format, the stadium in Chennai has undergone a few changes.

Dhoni was pictured at the dugout in a photo that the Chennai franchise official account shared, and the team came up with an interesting caption. “Main pal do pal ka shayar hu…” (I’m a poet for a moment or two),” captioned the post which is also a Bollywood song that the 41-year-old used during his retirement from international cricket.

After the post, the franchise posted a video in which former India skipper Dhoni and former Chennai franchise all-rounder Dwayne Bravo were seen dancing to the Chennai franchise anthem Whistle Podu’s new version, ahead of the 16th edition of the Indian T20 League.

I just hope he continues to play, it’s a privilege to play under him: Deepak Chahar

Everyone was waiting for news on Dhoni’s retirement from cricket, and Deepak Chahar, the team’s top pacer from Chennai, provided it. “No one has said that this would be his final year. At least, he hasn’t. Hopefully, he will play more. We don’t know any such thing, we want him to play as much as he can,” he asserted.

The right-arm seamer further went on to say that Dhoni knows when to do the right thing. “He knows when to retire, we saw it when he did in Tests and international cricket. No one else knows. I just hope he continues to play, it’s a privilege to play under him. It has been a dream to play with him. He’s in good touch as well, you will see that when he bats in the Indian T20 League this year,” the 30-year-old opined.

The Indian T20 League 2023 is around the corner as it is set to kick off on March 31 after the completion of the Women’s T20 League. The opening match of the cash-rich league will be played between the Chennai franchise and the defending champions Gujarat at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium.
