WATCH: MS Dhoni receives chocolates from Air Hostess on flight

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni witnessed a fan moment from an air hostess while he was travelling on a flight. The 41-year-old brightened up an air hostess’ day as she offered him the entire tray of chocolates as a token of appreciation. However, Dhoni took just only one packet from the tray. In a video, it can be seen that Dhoni is travelling in an economy class along with his wife Sakshi.

Dhoni is well-known for his unmatched aura both on and off the field. He was last seen in action in IPL 2023, where he led CSK to their fifth title after defeating the defending champions Gujarat Titans by 5 wickets. CSK registered a thrilling last-ball victory at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad as Ravindra Jadeja hit two back-to-back boundaries in the last two balls.

Dhoni to play in IPL 2024?

However, as IPL 2023 was expected to be Dhoni’s last season, there have been reports that the veteran wicketkeeper can also be seen playing in the next of the cash-rich league. CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan said that Dhoni’s knee surgery has been successful and he is been feeling alright. Dhoni himself said that he could appear in the next season if he remains fit. However, he also added that he would continue to contribute to the team even when he is not playing. After that, he went on to undergo knee surgery as he was struggling with his knee during the season.

“Actually, he told us immediately after the final is over, he’ll fly to Mumbai, have surgery and go back to Ranchi for rehab. In Mumbai, after Ruturaj’s wedding [on June 4], I visited him. It was a courtesy call. He’s quite comfortable. He said he’ll rest for three weeks and then start his rehab. And like he said, he’s not going to play until January-February. We don’t need to remind him about all that,” CSK CEO told ESPNCricinfo.

“He knows what to do, how to go about it, so we aren’t going to ask him ‘what are you going to do, how’ etc. He will inform us on his own. Whatever he’s doing, he’ll call first and inform only Mr N Srinivasan, not anyone else. Factually, he’ll be straightforward with him. From him, we’ll get the information that this is what he’s doing. It’s been this way since 2008. That’s how it will continue,” he further added.
