Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni once again showed his skills behind the stumps during CSK’s ongoing clash with Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2023. On the fifth ball of the 14th over of the first innings, Ravindra Jadeja darted the ball full on the off stump seeing the batter advance. Agarwal tried to hit the ball by stepping out of the crease but failed to do it and missed the ball. After that, Dhoni did no mistake behind the stumps and used his quick hands to thrash the stumps and give CSK a fifth breakthrough.

Talking about the match, batting first, SRH posted a total of 134 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their 20 overs at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The visitors lost the first in the form of Harry Brook at the score of 35 in 4.2 overs.

CSK’s tight bowling restricted SRH to score a big total

After that, Abhishek Sharma and Rahul Tripathi tried to take the innings further by adding 36 runs for the second wicket, before Abhishek lost his wicket to Jadeja in the second ball of the 10th over by giving a catch to Ajinkya Rahane at long-on. The 22-year-old turned out to be the highest scorer for SRH by scoring 34 runs off 26 balls hitting three fours and a maximum.

An over later, Tripathi also went back to the pavilion after a run-a-ball 21 hitting one four and a maximum. Jadeja struck again to give CSK a third breakthrough. After that, SRH started losing wickets at regular intervals and was restricted by the CSK bowlers under 140 runs. Marco Jansen remained unbeaten on 17 runs off 22 balls with a single boundary.
