The Barbados Royals won by six wickets against the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots during the tenth match of the CPL 2023. Earlier, Barbados Royals skipper Rovman Powell won the toss and invited Evin Lewis side to bat first. Notably, after being sent to bat first, STKNP posted 197/6 in the given 20 overs owing to a wonderful knock from their opener, Fletcher, who hammered 51 runs from 38 balls, featuring five fours and three sixes, which gave his side a great start.

Later, while chasing, the Royals had a terrific start as their opener, Rahkeem Cornwall, hammered 38 runs from just 15 balls, including three boundaries and four sixes, with a solid strike rate of 254. In addition, the right-handed batter always looks in great form to give a superb start to the Royals. Moreover, the 30-year-old’s fantastic sixes grabbed attention on social media and received praise from the cricket fraternity. Notably, towards the end, the great middle order batter, Rovman Powell, smashed an unbeaten 67 runs from just 29 balls with five boundaries and five sixes, which helped his side chase the target with 9 balls to spare.

Meanwhile, after the great win, Barbados Royals skipper Rovman Powell expressed his happiness. Notably, the great all-rounder feels the score they put up during the powerplay puts pressure on bowlers. In addition, the stylish right-handed batter also praises Rahkeem Cornwall for his magnificent knocks. Moreover, the 30-year-old cricketer also says that he was very clear with his plans.

“Once we get a good score in the powerplay, we know the bowlers are under pressure. We know what Rahkeem can do if he just stays for 3-4 overs. We get to about 100 after 10 overs with me still to bat, I know the game is on. It is difficult to captain with boundaries of different sizes, I bowled only one over of my left-arm spinner today because they always had a left-handed batter. (On his approach today) I was very clear with my plans. I knew if I played out the leg spinner then I could kill the fast bowlers on this kind of wicket,” Rovman Powell said.
