The 3rd Test match between India and England witnessed an interesting scene after India declared their innings on day 4. While Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sarfaraz Khan were batting on 214 and 68 runs respectively, captain Rohit Sharma declared the innings and called the batters back. However, the people present in the stadium did not seem to be happy about the decision. They were seen raising their hands and contradicting the captain’s decision.

As Jaiswal and Sarfaraz were firing the crowd wanted to see them bat for some more time and thus, were unhappy with the decision. Moreover, the duo batted like they wanted to complete their 200 and 100 respectively. After Jaiswal returned from injury on day 4, he played extremely well. India could manage up to 557 runs because of his efforts.

This was Jaiswal’s second double century of the series. With time, he has proved how good of a batter he is and how he has evolved. Regarding shot selection, Jaiswal has been a bit conscious as to avoid playing irresponsible shots. After Rohit Sharma‘s dismissal, he takes up responsibility for himself and plays according to the demands of the situation.

Ravichandran Ashwin joins the team

Ravichandran Ashwin returns to the team in the 3rd Test match between India and England. Ashwin had withdrawn from the match due to some family emergency. However, he finally joined the team before day 4 ended. The Indian Cricket Board arranged a chartered flight for Ashwin to go and come back. This was a huge help done by the board which shows how much they care and respect their team players.

By dismissing Zak Crawley, Ashwin got to his 500 wickets milestone. He became the second player to reach the milestone and enter the 500-wicket club. As Ashwin returns, fans will expect him to take more wickets and help India win the match and the series.
