WATCH: Rishabh Pant feels upbeat about his return to IPL 2024

A video of Rishabh Pant speaking about his comeback in the IPL has gone viral on social media. Reports claim that it is from the IPL ad shoot. Pant was with the broadcasters for the shoot and expressed how he feels about his return to the IPL. Pant touched on his accident which he suffered in December 2022. Pant felt that it was a big bump on the road.

The Delhi Capitals skipper added that such things could happen in the life of the individuals. The star batter added that he needs to focus on the future, on the IPL, which is ahead of everyone. While Pant was animated in front of the camera, there seemed to be a determination in the face of the star player who aims to make his return count in cricket.

Pant suffered an unfortunate accident in 2022 while travelling from Delhi to Dehradun. While Rishabh was driving, he suffered a massive accident and thankfully survived without any major injuries. Since then, Pant has not been in action. The star WK batter is on his way to recovery and is likely to play the entire IPL 2024 season.

Speaking about the same, Parth Jindal, the owner of DC, confirmed that Pant would play the entire IPL 2024. Parth touched upon the recovery of Pant and added that he is trying to keep wickets. Jindal claimed that Rishabh would play the entire IPL for DC and added that he would lead the side. The DC owner added that Pant would play the first half of the IPL 2024 as a specialist batter.

“Rishabh is batting. He’s running. He has started his wicketkeeping. He is likely to be fully fit for the IPL. I am expecting Rishabh to play IPL and he will lead from match one. First seven games we are going to play him only as a batter and depending on how his body reacts, we will take a call for the rest of the IPL,” said Jindal as he hoped for Pant’s improvement in fitness.
