WATCH: Rohit Sharma gets frustrated after Sarfaraz Khan’s run-out during 3rd Test against England

Indian captain Rohit Sharma was angry in the dressing room as Sarfaraz Khan was run out with a mix-up between Ravindra Jadeja and him on Day 1 of the third Test match against England in Rajkot.

In his first Test match Sarfaraz Khan played aggressive strokes while batting as he scored his maiden fifty from 48 balls. The incident happened when Ravindra Jadeja was batting on 99. While batting on 99 Jadeja placed the ball on mid-on as he looked eager to get his century. As Ravindra Jadeja stepped out for a quick single.

Sarfaraz Khan also went towards him but Ravindra Jadeja quickly denied him for run. As Mark Wood threw the ball towards the stump it resulted in a direct hit while Sarfaraz Khan was running back towards the crease. This unfortunately led to a run-out.

India dominates on Day 1 against England

After the run-out happened Rohit Sharma seemed angry and threw his cap towards the floor. Fans in the stadium were angry as due to the wrong call of Ravindra Jadeja Sarfaraz Khan lost his wicket. Sarfaraz Khan scored 62 runs from 66 balls. Sarfaraz Khan started the hard-hitting approach from the start.  Later he started to play sweep shots against the England spinners. After the incident happened Ravindra Jadeja ran for a single and scored his fourth Test century.

Sarfaraz Khan also become the second fastest to hit fifty on his debut behind Hardik Pandya. Hardik Pandya achieved his milestone against Sri Lanka in 2017. Earlier Rohit Sharma scored 131 runs from 196 balls. As India lost quick wickets in the start Indian captain responsibly batted and took India to a strong place. He also scored his 11th Test hundred.  At the end of Day 1 India scored 326 runs for 5 wickets as they are in a strong position.
