Watch : Selfless Rohit Sharma sacrifices his wicket for milestone man Cheteshwar Pujara

India and Australia are now playing game two of their four-game Test series in Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium. The two teams are going head-to-head in what looks to be an amazing encounter. In the backdrop of the Test Championship, a victory is crucial for both teams.

Jadeja, who excelled in the first Test match in Nagpur, decimated the Australian batting order once more during the morning session on Day 3. On Day 3 of the Test match, Jadeja took 12 career 5-wicket hauls, which left Australia scrambling in the morning session.

He finished the innings with career best figures of seven wickets. Nine wickets were lost for 53 runs during the frantic third day’s morning session, and the former players disputed the sweep stroke on a pitch where the ball kept low.

How did Rohit sacrifice his wicket?

India were set a target of 115 runs on a tricky Delhi pitch. India started well with Rohit Sharma at the crease and Pujara joined him after India lost their first wicket before Lunch itself. After smashing a few sixes and more boundaries, Rohit Sharma was run out on 31 after a dreadful mix-up with Cheteshwar Pujara.

Here is the video:

Rohit flicked the ball to the leg side and ran a single. The duo were going for the second run but Rohit saw that it might be a risky run so stopped in the middle. Pujara was watching the ball and running and didn’t see Rohit stopping in the middle. In the end, Rohit sacrificed his wicket for Pujara who was playing his 100th Test and can be the match winner for India.

India look in complete control in this Test match and would be looking to seal the deal with Pujara still at the crease. He has played some great innings against the Australians and would be hoping to take his side to victory. India would retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy if they chase the tricky total down.
