Bangladesh vs India 2022

Watch: Virat Kohli fired up after conceding his wicket, exchanges words with Taijul Islam on the way back

India and Bangladesh are facing off in the second Test that kicked off on December 22, Thursday and it was the Bangla Tigers who rattled the Indian team on Day 3, Saturday with their stupendous bowling, leaving India in a scuffle chasing a target of 145. As things stand, while the likes of KL Rahul and Shubman Gill made their way back to the dressing room for cheap scores, the Indian great Virat Kohli contributed only 1 run to India’s scoreboard.

Much to the dreariness of the Indian fans, Kohli, known for his chasing ability, failed to stand up for the team and eventually perished post facing a delivery from off-break bowler Mehidy Hasan. Although Kohli’s sepulchral run came to end in the white-ball format, unfortunately, the right-handed batter’s unlucky run continues to haunt the team management in the longest format of the game.

Post his dismissal, however, the Indian batter looked unhappy for some obvious reasons and it remains to be seen if the likes of Axar Patel and Jaydev Unadkat would lift the team from the labyrinth. With 100 more runs required to clinch the series win, the duo will give it their all to sail through the target.

Here is the video featuring Virat Kohli:

We just tried to be positive: Mehidy Hasan

Mehidy, who opened up on the Day post rattling the Indian top order, said that the team tried to remain positive and trouble the Indian batters to the best. On the other hand, the Indian batters were struggling to handle the wrath of the Bangladeshi bowler.

“We just tried to be positive, the wicket was turning, so we had to bowl well against them, they have some really good batters. If we get two early wickets in the morning, we can go for the win. That was an excellent ball (against Kohli) I tried to bowl into the rough. Got some turn on that ball. If we get early wickets we have a chance. I believe I can do well tomorrow,” Mehidy was quoted as saying post the conclusion of the match.
