Former India captain Virat Kohli comes to everyone’s mind when they think of a dedicated sportsman. The 34-year-old is a fitness fanatic who strives to improve his game every day. Everyone knows how seriously Kohli takes his game and form, and he demonstrated that after India’s first Test against Bangladesh on Sunday, December 18.

On the fifth day of the first game, India clinched a commanding victory over hosts Bangladesh and took a 1-0 lead in the two-match series. The Indian team needed the victory after suffering a heartbreaking 2-1 defeat in the previous ODI series. Kohli, who had struggled in the first two ODIs, came back stronger in the third game and scored a magnificent century.

Riding high on confidence, his plans for the first Test with the bat were thwarted when Taijul Islam dismissed him for 1 run (5). In the second innings, India declared when Kohli was on 19*(29), thanks to centuries by Shubman Gill and Cheteshwar Pujara, which helped India massively extend their lead.

Kohli began training for the next game as soon as the first Test ended in Chattogram. He was fully padded and didn’t take a break after the first game, hitting the nets and getting going. In a video posted by RevSportz, Kohli can be seen training with wicketkeeper-batter Srikar Bharat, who is also a member of the squad.

Kuldeep Yadav and Mohammed Siraj kept India in control of the second innings by dismantling Bangladesh’s batting order.

With a 254-run lead, India declared the second innings at 258/2 after centuries from Gill and Pujara. As a result, Bangladesh was given a 513-run target to chase in their final innings. Spinners Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav bowled brilliantly to help India win the game by 188 runs and take a 1-0 lead in the series.
