The stage is all set to host the second semi-final match of the ODI World Cup 2023 between five-time world champions Australia and South Africa, slated to take place on November 16 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Notably, both sides have met early, where Proteas thrashed Australia in the league stage of the marquee event.

The fans can still expect the full 100 overs of the game to take place regardless of the interruptions. However, the predicted temperature at Eden Gardens will be approximately 27 degrees Celsius, with a humidity level of roughly 69% and wind speeds of about 13 kmph.

There is a reserve day as well for this match, so if rains continues to play spoilsport, then the match will shift to November 17. Moreover, if rain continues, overs get reduced, and in severe rainfall, South Africa will be qualified for the final match, resulting in a better net run rate in the league stage as compared to Australia, despite equal losses and wins.
