‘What a moment for them’ – Fans react as Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma clicks selfies with Saurashtra players after 3rd ODI against Australia

Team India has won the three matches of the ODI series 2-1 against Australia. However, the Men in Blue lost the third ODI, which takes place at Saurashtra Cricket Stadium in Rajkot on September 27. Notably, India’s star batters Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli make their way into the final ODI, whereas a few batters like Ishan Kishan, Shubman Gill, and Hardik Pandya have missed the third ODI.

Following the same incident, the Indian Cricket Board has invited some Saurashtra players to the squad to support Team India with drinks and fielding in the final ODI. Notably, India’s stalwarts Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma shared some grateful moments with local boys. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli clicked selfies with them and made their day. In addition, the pictures went viral with some great comments for both star cricketers.

“We have got lot of players who are sick, unavailable, some have gone home for personal reasons and some are rested. So 13 players are available,” Rohit Sharma said during pre-match press conference in Rajkot on Tuesday.

Team India has finished all the bilateral series and is set to start their ODI World Cup campaign on October 5. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma and Co. will be facing the Pat Cummins-led side on October 8 in Chennai to commence their journey.

Notably, all the cricketing teams have reached India for the marquee events except England, which is on its way to land in the host country for the big tournament. The campaign starts with the clash between England and New Zealand on October 5 at the iconic Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahemdabad.

Meanwhile, Team India recently won the Asia Cup 2023, which is a major boost for their side. Following that, Rohit Sharma and Co. also won the bilateral series against Australia, which places them at the top of the points table in the ODI rankings ahead of the ODI World Cup.
