India vs Australia 2023
‘What is this shot’- Ravindra Jadeja gets out by playing a rash shot, Virat Kohli, Sunil Gavaskar look shocked
India is currently taking on Australia in the fourth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. On Day 4 India resumed their innings from 289/3. India scored 472 runs at the loss of five wickets at the end of the second session. India was 8 runs behind Australia’s first-innings score.
Meanwhile, they lost the wickets of Ravindra Jadeja and Sikar Bharat while Virat Kohli smashed a magnificent century. However, Jadeja’s bizarre shot selection left Virat and commentator Sunil Gavaskar frustrated. Jadeja who was dismissed by Todd Murphy for 28 runs played an unrealistic shot to get out.
The Australian off-spinner repeatedly tempted Jadeja, and the allrounder eventually succumbed by chipping straight to Usman Khawaja at mid-on. Jadeja who never looked steady in his innings got out in a bizarre manner which shocked former India captains Virat Kohli and Sunil Gavaskar.
Ravindra Jadeja while playing a half volley from Murphy tried to clear Mid-on by just a flick. Although, he seemed in double mind playing it without proper balance and power. His shot just went like a regular catching practice failing to clear Khawaja. Watching the shot both Kohli and Gavaskar nodded in disappointment.

When will India declare?
India in the first innings is still batting and nearing 500 runs. On a batting track like this team will have to score faster to get some runs on board before declaring. As they have less than four sessions to bundle up Australia and bat to win the game.
Although, it seems that both teams are looking for a comfortable draw as no one is making any hurry in the game. Virat Kohli along with allrounder Axar Patel is batting for India. They have added 100 runs for the sixth wicket and are looking comfortable on the wicket.
Notably, India is currently leading the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy by 2-1. After winning the first two games India succumbed to Australia in the third match at the Holkar Stadium in Indore.
