WPL 2024: 3 Oldest Cricketers to feature this season
The Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024 is just days away from beginning on the 23rd of February 2024 at the Chinnaswamy in Bangalore. The squads have been finalised and we are set to witness another historic tournament in this T20 franchise league. The best women cricketers will go head-to-head in this league and it will be a joy to watch for everyone. The last season had already witnessed some great performances from both the senior and young players who had featured in this tournament. There are big aspirations which all of us will be looking forward to in this upcoming league.
Players like Smriti Mandhana and Ashleigh Gardener will be the players to watch out for, with both of them still in their prime and will want to give their best performances in the tournament. But we should not forget that this is not only about the young blood as there are also some experienced talents that will feature in the league as well. It will be interesting to see what these players have in store even after their retirement from the game. They will most likely feature in the team due to their experience and ability to handle pressure situations.
Even though they might not be in their prime and they are most likely at the end of their career in the sport, these players still have a never-say-side attitude which they have had during their entire career. They are still big players with big aspirations and we will be looking forward to see them perform and even show the upcoming youngsters why they used to be the ones ruling the game as well. This might be just the second season of the WPL, but the hype and anticipation are still on a high and we can’t wait to see our favourite cricketers play once again in a packed crowd.
