3. Danni Wyatt vs Renuka Singh
Danni Wyatt is one of the best batters in the world. The English batter can score runs at a quick rate. On a wicket like M Chinnaswamy stadium, her role could be important for the visiting side. If she gets going, things could be difficult for the home side. But they seem to have a counter to the star player.
Renuka Singh with the new ball could be lethal. The right-arm pacer can swing the ball either way and trouble the batters with the new ball. In the past, the star bowler had success over the opener. The player who would emerge victorious in the battle could give early honours to their side in the game.
2. Ellyse Perry vs Sophie Ecclestone
Ellyse Perry is arguably the greatest cricketer in women’s cricket at the moment. The star All Rounder can win games on her own both with the bat and with the ball. The star cricketer is aggressive with the bat and can be handy with the ball. She is extremely brilliant in the field as well. However, her main skill is her batsmanship.
Given the threat at the other end, UP Warriors might have a counter to stop her. In the middle-overs phase, Sophie Ecclestone has been arguably the greatest spin bowler in the last few years. The left-arm orthodox spinner has the game to get rid of the right-handed batter. It would be a good contest to watch out for.
1. Smriti Mandhana vs Rajeshwari Gayakwad
Smriti Mandhana is one of the best batters in the world currently. The Southpaw has been in good form in the last few years. While she did not have a great time in the middle of the WPL 2023, the RCB W skipper would be looking forward to changing things this time around. She would be hungry to perform for her side.
If anyone can stop the RCB opener, it would be Rajeshwari Gayakwad. The left-arm orthodox spinner has played a lot of games along with Smriti for India. She knows what it takes to get rid of the star batter. The key for the Warriors would be to get Rajeshwari to bowl early in the innings to control the damage.
