Young India batter Prithvi Shaw made his first public appearance with the rumoured girlfriend and model Nidhi Tapadia at the IIFA awards on Friday, May 26th. During the green carpet, Shaw was spotted with Nidhi ahead of an award show.

The video went viral as soon as it was shared on social media. Shaw was wearing a sleeveless black jacket along with a black shirt, black jeans, and a black cap to top that. Meanwhile, Nidhi was wearing a black saree as they both posed for pictures for the paparazzi.

It is noted that Shaw, recently, completed his IPL 2023 campaign with Delhi Capitals (DC). However, it wasn’t a great outing for him and his team as the 23-year-old as he only managed to score 106 runs from the eight matches he played this season.

However, he was seen in great touch in the penultimate game against Punjab Kings as he scored 54 runs off 38 balls to lay a foundation for a big total. However, it is likely that Shaw maybe ruled out of the Indian T20I squad for the upcoming series against West Indies due to his poor form.

Meanwhile, Shaw has been roped in various controversies in the past year, including the most recent one with the model Sapna Gill ahead of the IPL. The model accused him of harassment after she and her friends asked him for a selfie at the restaurant. However, the cricketer later filed an FIR.

However, despite a poor run in IPL 2023, Shaw has been great touch before that in domestic cricket. He was in sensational form in Ranji Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy in 2022 and 2023. He scored 595 runs in six matches in the Ranji Trophy while having amassed 332 runs in 10 matches in the last edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Talking about DC’s performance in IPL 2023, they were the first team in the season to get knocked out of the playoffs race. David Warner took charge of the captaincy for the season after their regular skipper Rishabh Pant was ruled out of the tournament due to a major car accident in December 2022. Under Warner, DC finished the season by standing at the ninth position in the points table with five wins from 14 matches.
