It was a remarkable win for the Mumbai Indians, who looked down and out at one stage, but managed to pull off an incredible victory thanks to the heroics of Suryakumar Yadav and Tim David. The Rajasthan Royals will be left to rue what could have been, as they failed to defend a massive total despite the heroics of Yashasvi Jaiswal.
Overall, it was a fitting way to mark the 1000th match of the IPL, with a thrilling contest that had fans on the edge of their seats until the very end.
