WATCH: Isa Guha in haste sprints on heels to ring the bell ahead of Day 3 of Women’s Ashes 2023
Commentator Isa Guha had a hilarious moment ahead of Day 3 of the ongoing Women’s Ashes Test between England and Australia in Trent Bridge, Nottingham. Guha left the commentary box, sprinted on the field, and rush into stands to ring the bell and declare the start of the day’s play. The commentators were left in splits as soon as the clip was shared on the screen.

Talking about the match, the hosts England gave a befitting reply to Australia’s total of 473 runs as they were bowled out for 463 runs in their first innings trailing by just 10 runs. Tammy Beaumont was the main star of the innings as she became the first batter to smash a double ton in the history of Women’s Ashes.
Batting first, Australia were bowled out for 473 runs in the first innings. Ellyse Peery missed out on her century by just 1 run as she got out on 99 runs off 153 balls with 15 boundaries. She also added 119 along with Tahila McGrath for the third wicket. McGrath got out after scoring 61 runs off 83 balls hitting eight boundaries.

After that, Annabel Sutherland took charge of the innings as she went on to score a century, Sutherland remained unbeaten on 137 runs off 184 balls hitting 16 fours and a six. She also put up a 77-run partnership along with Ashleigh Gardner for the seventh wicket. Gardner got out after scoring 40 off 76 balls. For England, Sophie Ecclestone took a five-wicket haul while Lauren Bell and Lauren Filer took 2-2 wickets each, and Kate Cross put 1 in her bag.
In reply, Beaumont put a magnificent show for England with her bat as she got out after scoring 208 runs off 331 balls hitting 27 boundaries. Apart from that, skipper Heather Knight and NatSciver-Brunt scored half-centuries as England fell short of just 10 runs from Australia’s total in the first innings. Ashleigh Gardner took 4 wickets for Australia, Tahila McGrath scalped 3, while Darcie Brown, Annabel Sutherland and Ellyse Perry shared a wicket each.
In their second innings, Australia have scored 82 runs so far without any loss after at the end of Day 3, and currently leading by 92 runs. Phoebe Litchfield and Beth Mooney are still at the crease ans are looking set to add more runs into the total.
