India is far ahead in the first Test
In the first Test of the two-match series, India is looking far more comfortable. Ashwin clinched his 33rd five-wicket haul and also became the first Indian bowler to dismiss a father-son duo in Test Cricket.
In response, India batted well, as the new opening pair of skipper Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal added 80 runs for the first wicket till the stumps. Rohit, in his innings, scored an unbeatable 30 runs off 65 balls with the help of three boundaries and a six. Meanwhile, Jaiswal, in his innings, scored an unbeatable 40 runs off 73 balls with the help of six boundaries.
