Watch- Harry Brook stuns Pakistan debutant with six fours in an over

Many cricket purists would say that hitting six fours in an over is more difficult than hitting six sixes. According to many, hitting a four requires more technique, and keeping the ball in the ground for five more times is much more difficult than hitting it in the air with brute force.

These cricket purists would be immensely proud of Harry Brook as the England batter did just that. Playing against Pakistan in Rawalpindi Test, the England batter took the bowlers to the sword and came up with a remarkable six fours in a single over.

Coming in to bat at number five Brook looked set from the word get-go as he started to take on the Pakistan bowlers with the first ball itself. Coming in at 286/3 in just 45.6 overs, Brook had a platform set for further exploration and that is what he did.

The 23-year-old decided to put his foot down and take on Pakistan bowler Saud Shakeel in the 68th over. The left-arm spinner had no answers to Brook’s technique as he rocked back to pull short balls and stroked him through covers when overpitched.

The right-hand batter showcased an exhibition in technical batting as he send every ball of the 68th over to the boundary with nonchalant ease. As he blasted the final ball through the mid-wicket for a four, Brook was seen with a huge grin.

Playing in his just 2nd Test, Brook brought out a quickfire century in just 81 deliveries. At the end of the stumps on day 1, Brook remained unbeaten at 101 off 81 with 14 fours and two massive sixes.

England as a result of four individual centuries put forth a humongous 506/4 at the end of the first day in the Rawalpindi Test. Earlier, Zak Crawley (122), Ben Duckett (107), and Ollie Pope (108) has also brought out their individual centuries on a track that looked as flat as they get.

Pakistan bowlers had no answers to England’s batters and were kept at arm’s distance. England are yet to declare the innings despite making a mammoth score. It would be interesting to see how Pakistan batters play on this pitch.
