Pakistan Hockey Team laud government’s decision to send cricket team to India for ODI World Cup 2023
The Foreign Ministry of Pakistan has allowed the Men in Green to travel to India for the upcoming World Cup. Notably, earlier, former PCB selector Ramiz Raza did not allow their side to travel to India for the mega tournament, as the latter had rejected their request to travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup.
Notably, a plethora of fans and experts backed this decision of the Pakistani government to send their side to tour India. Speaking on the same subject, Pakistan’s great hockey player Abdul Rana has lauded his government’s decision. The star player says that both nations should play matches with each other and should travel to both sides. The hockey field player admitted that they get a lot of love from India.
“I think it is a great gesture by Pakistan. People want to see India and Pakistan playing against each other. So, these matches should happen and both teams should come and play in each other’s country. People wait for India versus Pakistan matches. India is our neighborhood country and the love we get here in India is amazing. We do not get so much love anywhere,” Rana told ANI.
Now it’s India’s turn to come to Pakistan: Muhammed Saqlain
Meanwhile, the Men’s hockey team’s head coach, Muhammed Saqlain, also lauded the decency of his government. In addition, the former Pakistan hockey player says that the Pakistan team always travels to India for Cricket, Hockey, and football, while pointing out that it’s now India’s turn to come back to their nation.
“Our government is very positive to become close to the Indian government. The main thing is continuity in the process. You will see the cricket team coming here, the football team already came here, and hockey is here. Now, it is your turn to come to Pakistan. From our hearts, we are also very kind,” Saqlain said.
