‘India’s won series already, he might get one final game….’ – Aakash Chopra makes bombshell prediction on Rajat Patidar ahead of Dharmshala Test

Former India cricketer Aakash Chopra feels that star batter Rajat Patidar will get the chance in the fifth Test match at Dharamshala despite his poor form in Test cricket. Notably, the stylish right-handed batter failed to create his impact in the Test series against England; however, he may get the chance to be in India’s squad as the side has already clinched the series by 3-1.

However, Aakash Chopra feels that Rajat Patidar’s poor form in Test cricket is not affecting the team, and that is the major reason for his getting the chance in the fifth Test match. The well-renowned cricket commentator accepted that the Indore-born cricketer is going through rough form, but management will give him one more chance to show his potential.

“The last thing you want as a cricketer is that your bad form coincides with the team’s poor returns. The moment that happens…you’re the first one to take the fall. Rajat’s not taken to Test cricket as fish to water but since India’s won the series already, he might get one final game at Dharamsala,” Aakash Chopra said on his YouTube channel.

Rajat Patidar not having the series of a lifetime or the one to remember: Aakash Chopra

Aakash Chopra says that Rajat Patidar does not have a memorable series; however, the management culture is too good, which is allowing them to give Rajat Patidar another chance. Moreover, the former India opener feels that Rohit Sharma feels that Rajat Patidar has the potential to do more in the future, and the captain sees him as part of the Indian team.

“Rajat Patidar not having the series of a lifetime or the one to remember. But the good thing about this Indian team and the culture is that you will survive in that side because of the great cricket they are playing and the results coming their way. If his attitude is catchy and if he is a likable character in the dressing room, Rohit and the selection panel will have the ability to say, ‘Hold on, we do believe this guy has a future and we see him as a part of the team moving forward,” he added further.
