‘Different hai yehi to tension hai’ – Fans react to Rahul Dravid’s ‘not to worry about ODI World Cup 2023’ statement after losing T20Is against WI
Team India suffered an 8-wicket loss against the West Indies in Florida, USA, on August 13. Notably, Powell and Co. chased down the target posted by India with 12 balls to spare and sealed the series 3-2 against the visitors. Notably, after the loss, a plethora of fans and cricket pundits felt these were danger signs for the Men in Blue ahead of the Asia Cup and World Cup.
Meanwhile, speaking on the same subject, Team India head coach Rahul Dravid says not to worry about the ODI World Cup 2023, as he highlighted that the squad for the upcoming mega contest will be different from the T20I squad of the West Indies. In addition, the former India skipper says that they are disappointed and that the win in the fifth Test after losing the first two matches would have been special for them.

“Not much to worry about the 2023 World Cup in India. Our ODI team is really different from this squad we had here. But going forward we’ve got to look at certain areas. Of course, we’re disappointed. To be able to win from 0-2 down would have been special,” Rahul Dravid said.
Moreover, the former batter further said that the team needs to work on their batting without weakening their bowling attacks. Furthermore, the 50-year-old legendary cricketer highlights that the team needs to build depth.
“Finding depth in our batting has been an area we are trying to address. We are trying to do the best we possibly can but that’s certainly an area we can look at, how we cannot weaken our bowling attack but ensure we have a certain amount of depth in batting. It’s certainly something that this series has shown us and we need to build on that depth,” he added further.
