Moreover, the former skipper says the Men in Blue are struggling in the middle order, which makes a wonderful chance for Pakistan to win the marquee event by giving a tough fight to the others. “Pakistan have a great chance. They have a very potent fast bowling unit. India are struggling with their middle order. I believe Pakistan have a wonderful chance, and they should win the tournament by giving others a tough fight,” Latif told Cricket Pakistan.

Meanwhile, the legendary cricketer admitted that Rohit Sharma’s side has power hitters that are missing in Pakistan. In addition, the 54-year-old cricketer says that their batters are quite slow in the powerplay. Moreover, the Karachi-born batter feels that India stalwarts Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli can play big knocks and have a superior strike rate over Pakistan’s top-order batters, which is a huge advantage for the host.

“Out batters are a bit slow during the powerplay, and we don’t have power hitters for the death overs. Our spinners haven’t been able to take wickets in that period, be it Shadab Khan or Mohammad Nawaz. India, on the other hand, are very strong in the middle overs. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are capable of playing big knocks, and they play at a better strike rate than our top-order batters, which gives India an advantage,” he added further.
