WATCH: Naseem Shah’s striking remark after thrilling win in 2nd ODI against Afghanistan

The Men in Green have locked horns with Afghanistan for the third ODI at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Notably, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam won the toss and invited the Shahidi side to field first. Following this, the Pakistan team will be looking to post a great total. Notably, the Men in Green had a terrific 1-wicket win in the second ODI owing to right-arm pacer Naseem Shah’s boundary.

In addition, following his great knock, the Pakistan Cricket Board has uploaded a video of Naseem Shah expressing his happiness after this great win, which led to an unassailable 2-0 win against Afghanistan. Notably, the great pacer affirms that he always tries to believe in himself, irrespective of what the situation is.

“I would like to say that this year, with the chances I have got at the fag end of the innings, I hope I don’t get a heart attack someday. I am very thankful to Allah and his grace as I always try to believe in myself in situations like that,” Naseem Shah said in a video posted by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

God Forbid I hope I don’t get a heart attack: Naseem Shah

Moreover, the 20-year-old bowler used the quote, “I hope I don’t get a heart attack”, for his stellar shots during the penultimate ball. Notably, this quote has now been widely shared on social media. Furthermore, the young cricketer felt all-rounder Shadab Khan would finish the game, but once he was out, the star pacer understood the situation and crossed the finishing line.

“Let me just say that this year, the sort of situations I have had to face whilst coming into play towards the end of the innings, God Forbid I hope I don’t get a heart attack. When I went inside, I believed in Shadab. I believed that we will finish the match. But when Shadab got out, I felt that the situation is now all mine. The bowlers are the same and I had the trust in myself to get the team over the line,” he added further.
