Rohit Sharma speaks on Pakistan’s bowling attack before IND vs PAK match in Asia Cup 2023

The Men in Blue are locking horns against Pakistan in Kandy, Sri Lanka, to commence their Asia Cup journey. Notably, Team India is looking to win this match considering their great records in 50-over formats against the Men in Green. In addition, it clearly seems that it will be a battle between Pakistan’s bowling attack and India’s batting power. Meanwhile, during the press conference, India’s skipper Rohit Sharma was questioned about Pakistan’s bowling attack, to which ‘Hitman’ gave an epic response.

India’s stalwart Rohit Sharma admitted that they do not have the greatest players like Naseem Shah, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Haris Rauf in the squad. Moreover, the 36-year-old cricketer says they play with the ones they have in their squad and encourage them by calling quality bowlers.

“Look, in the nets, we don’t have Shaheen, Naseem or Rauf. We practice with who we have. They are all quality bowlers. We just have to use our experience to play them tomorrow,” Rohit Sharma said during the press conference.

The Mumbai-born batter was further questioned about his greatest rivalry, to which he yet again came up with an interesting remark. In addition, the stylish right-handed batter says that rivalry is just for people to talk about. The top-order batters feel all six teams are very strong contenders who can beat anyone on their day. Moreover, the opening batter clarified that they are heading towards playing against Pakistan by assuming them as an opponent over rivals. The Mumbai Indians skipper aimed to do the right thing on the field.

“There are six very competitive teams in the Asia Cup and on a given day anyone can beat anyone. Rivalry is there for people to talk about. As a team, what we see is we have an opposition to play tomorrow and see what we want to do. What is going to help us is to keep doing the right things on the field,” he added further.
