‘Welcome to BHARAT’ – Fans react as Afghanistan team arrives in India ahead of ODI World Cup 2023
The Afghanistan Cricket Team has arrived in the host country, India, on September 26 for the ODI World Cup 2023, which will commence on October 5. Moreover, the Afghanistan team has been issued visas for their travel to the host country for the upcoming marquee event. Notably, they will be opening their campaign against Bangladesh on October 7 at Dharamshala.
Meanwhile, the Afghan side will be facing India on October 11 in Delhi. Notably, it will be interesting to note how star pacer Naveen-Ul-Haq faces India’s stalwart Virat Kohli in the big tournament. Notably, both star cricketers made headlines during IPL 2023 after a big fight following the match at Bangalore.
Speaking about the Afghanistan team journey, they lost the three matches of the ODI series by 0-3 against Pakistan ahead of the Asia Cup 2023. Following that, their side were unable to reach the Super Four of the Asia Cup 2023 as they suffered back-to-back losses against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in the group stages. Meanwhile, they reached the Super Four in the Asia Cup 2023.

Star spinner Rashid Khan will be one of the most influential players in his side, having had a magnificent season in the IPL 2023, where he guided his side, the Gujarat Titans, to the final of the tournament.
