‘Bilkul sahi bola Hazlewood bhai ne’ – Fans react as Josh Hazlewood feels India’s stalwarts Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are top two best ODI batters
Rohit Sharma and Co. are gearing up for the ODI World Cup 2023, which is all set to commence on October 5. Notably, the Men in Blue are entering as the favourites in the ODI World Cup 2023 after winning the title of the Asia Cup 2023. Team India recently also won the three matches of the ODI series by 2-1 against Australia, which places them in the top spot of the ODI rankings ahead of the big tournament.
Meanwhile, Australian star cricketer Josh Hazlewood feels India’s stalwarts Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are the top two ODI batters in cricketing history due to their consistent performances. Josh Hazlewood has always been the prime bowler for Pat Cummins and Co., owing to his magnificent bowling spells.
“Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are the Top two best ODI batters for a decade,” Josh Hazlewood said on Fox Cricket.
Rohit Sharma never looks to bludgeon the ball, just pure class and elegance: Josh Hazlewood
Moreover, the right-arm pacer heaped praises on India’s skipper, Rohit Sharma. The great seamer has also opened up about Rohit Sharma’s hitting shot during the play. In addition, the star cricketer feels India’s skipper has phenomenal records in 50-over formats.
“He’s got many. I think it’s just with how the ease that he plays, especially anything back of a length, anything short, just puts it away with such ease. It’s just an area in which he gets better, I think. He never looks to bludgeon the ball, just pure class and elegance. His records, especially in white-ball cricket, is phenomenal,” he added further.
Meanwhile, the Men in Blue are all set to take on Jos Buttler-led England for the ODI World Cup 2023 warm-up game on September 30 in Guwahati. Rohit Sharma and Co. will be facing the Netherlands in their next warm-up game before taking on the Pat Cummins-led side on October 8 to commence their journey to the ODI World Cup 2023.

I can't agree more literally that they have put Indian cricket on their back for the last 10 years

He is just trying to flatter the Indian batsmen before the 1st match to make them complacent.

I agree with Josh Hazelwood! Both have been top of the game for the past 10 years! It’s sad that they only won 1 ICC trophy together (2013 CT)! Let’s hope they win their 2nd ICC trophy this year. pic.twitter.com/dYBKnrAyzH
