WATCH: Trent Boult imitates Sanju Samson during New Zealand vs South Africa ODI World Cup 2023 warm-up game

New Zealand star cricketer Trent Boult was recently seen imitating Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson during their ODI World Cup 2023 second warm-up game against South Africa at Greenfield International Cricket Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram on October 2. Notably, the video clip has gone viral with floods of comments.

This beautiful gesture by New Zealand’s left arm-arm pacer shows the great bond with India’s star cricketer. Notably, the great seamer was seen copying India’s middle-order batter, Sanju Samson, near the boundary. The fans were cheering for him as he was copying the same way Sanju Samson does to play the shots in the play.

Speaking about the Black Caps recent performances, New Zealand have lost the four matches of the ODI series against England by 1-3 ahead of the ODI World Cup 2023. Following that, the Kiwis registered a flabbergasting win over the Babar Azam-led Pakistan side on September 29 in Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium during their first warm-up match of the ODI World Cup 2023.

New Zealand reached the finals of the ODI World Cup in 2015 and 2019

Notably, New Zealand registered a win in the second warm-up match against South Africa via the DLS method. New Zealand posted a massive total of 321 runs in the given 50 overs. Later, the target was reduced to 219 runs at 37 overs after rain halted the play. While chasing, Proteas lost the match by 7 runs against New Zealand.

Notably, both wins in the ODI World Cup 2023 warm-up match will give a major boost to the Black Caps and make them hot favourites to win the marquee event. It’s undeniable that the Kiwis are the most successful side in the ODI World Cup. In addition, New Zealand reached the finals of the ODI World Cup in 2015 and 2019 but suffered defeats against Australia and England, respectively, on their home grounds.
