Zaka Ashraf leaks Pakistan skipper Babar Azam’s personal WhatsApp message
Pakistan Cricket Board Chief Zaka Ashraf revealed some private WhatsApp chats between Pakistan skipper Babar Azam and PCB COO Salman Naseer on Monday, October 30. Notably, in the leaked chats that were shown on live television, Salman Naseer asked Babar Azam if he had tried to call PCB Chief but was not getting any answers. However, the 28-year-old skipper claimed that he hadn’t called him at all.
However, this controversy erupted when former Pakistani skipper Rashid Latif made a bold claim about their management. Notably, just a few days ago, Rashid Latif revealed that Pakistan’s players didn’t get their salaries for the past five months, and PCB chief Zaka Ashraf is not picking up and not responding to Babar Azam’s call for the salary.
Following the same incident, the cricket administrator, Zaka Ashraf, revealed the chats and clarified to the public and the media houses that he never ever received any calls from Pakistan’s skipper, Babar Azam, over any issues. However, Zaka Ashraf’s act was unethical, as he showed some private chats in the live video to prove himself right.
Babar Azam has never given me a call: Zaka Ashraf
In an interview with a local news channel, Zaka Ashraf refuted Rashid Laitif’s allegations, saying that the Pakistan captain had never gotten in touch with him directly. “He [Latif] says that I don’t pick up his [Babar’s] call,” while Zaka Ashraf clarified. “He’s never given me a call. The chief operating officer or the director of international cricket are expected to speak with the captain of the team.”
The chats are given below:
Salman Naseer: Babar, there’s also been this news circulating on TV and social media that you have been calling chairman and he’s not answering you. Have you called him recently?
Babar Azam: Salam Salman bhai, Ma ny to sir ko koi call nahi ke [I have not called up sir].
Salman Naseer: ok thanks
