3 players Team India can rest for ODI World Cup 2023 vs Netherlands

Rohit Sharma and Co. are all set to face the Netherlands team in their last and final game of the ODI World Cup 2023, slated to take place on November 12 at M. Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium in Bangalore. Notably, Team India currently places them in the top spot with eight out of eight wins.

However, regardless of the loss or win, the hosts will be ending their journey at the top spot and will be playing their first semi-final game against New Zealand, slated to take place on November 15 at the iconic Wankhede Cricket Stadium in Mumbai.

On the other hand, the Dutch team that performed exceptionally well in the Cricket World Cup Qualifiers is currently at the bottom of the points table, and they will be hoping to beat India to qualify for the Champions Trophy 2025, which is scheduled to take place in Pakistan. Meanwhile, check out the three players whom Team India can give the rest to for their clash against the Scott Edwards-led Dutch team.

Team India great pacer Jasprit Bumrah may get the rest, and Prasidh Krishna may get the chance to replace him. Notably, with a crucial semi-final against New Zealand, the Men in Blue might rest him. In addition, the 29-year-old cricketer had picked up 15 wickets from just eight matches that have been played so far in the tournament. Jasprit Bumrah has always been known as the lethal bowler for his magnificent bowling spells in death overs and in powerplays.

2. Mohammed Siraj

The right-arm pacer, Mohammed Siraj, is another important player for Team India, and they need him the most for early breakthroughs in the game. Notably, the hosts would not be taking any risk with him and might get him to rest.

3. Shreyas Iyer

Team India’s middle-order batsman, Shreyas Iyer, is another crucial player for his side, especially in the lower-middle order. Notably, the stylish right-handed batsman had amassed crucial runs against Sri Lanka and South Africa and guided them to a great victory. So it may be possible for Team India to give the rest to him ahead of the semi-final match against the strong Kiwis.
