‘Well done boys’ – Fans react as Team India beat Australia in second T20I by 44 runs

Team India won the second T20I game of the five-match series against Australia by 44 runs on November 26 at Greenfield Cricket Stadium. Notably, the hosts are 2-0 up in the five-match series and just need one win to clinch the series. Speaking about the game here, it was Australia skipper Matthew Wade who won the toss and invited Team India to bat first.

Notably, after being put to bat first, the hosts had a wonderful start as Yashasvi Jaiswal created history after scoring the maximum runs in powerplays for Team India. Yashasvi Jaiswal hammered 53 runs from 25 balls, hitting nine boundaries and two sixes with a solid strike rate of 212. In addition, top-order batter Ruturaj Gaikwad also scored 58 runs from 43 balls, giving them a magnificent start.

Following them, left-handed batter Ishan Kishan piled up 52 runs from 32 balls, including three fours and four sixes. However, star middle-order batter Suryakumar Yadav was dismissed for just 19 runs from 10 balls. Following him, KKR star batter Rinku Singh finished off the game in great style as he hammered 31 runs from nine balls and stitched the stand with Tilak Varma to post 235/4 in the given 20 overs.

Team India is just one win away from clinching the series

Meanwhile, during the chase, Australia had an awful start as their top order fully faltered, reducing them to 58/4 early in the game. However, Marcus Stoinis and Tim David boosted their middle order, but they lost their wickets at crucial times, which helped Team India bounce back into the game. Later, skipper Matthew Wade tried hard to reach near the total, but eventually, it could not happen.
