WATCH: Josh Hazlewood hilariously shoos away COVID-hit Cameron Green during wicket celebration in 2nd Test vs WI
Australia’s star pacer Josh Hazlewood playfully shooed away COVID-infected Cameron Green during the team celebrations after dismissing West Indies star opening batter Kraigg Brathwaite on Day 1 of the second Test at the Gabba in Brisbane on Thursday, January 25. Notably, the great seamer’s act has gone viral on social media, with a plethora of fans commenting on his unique antics.
Notably, Josh Hazlewood delivered a tight spell with the new ball, leading to opening batter Brathwaite’s dismissal for the second time in the ongoing series. However, after the wicket, the Australian team celebrated in their usual manner, with Cameron Green, despite being infected, maintaining social distancing. The 33-year-old cricketer showed a lighthearted moment and playfully gestured for star all-rounder Cameron to stay at a safe distance while celebrating his wicket with the rest of the team.

Meanwhile, the 24-year-old cricketer was considered fit to play in the second Test against the West Indies as long as the necessary guidelines were followed. This included maintaining social distance during the national anthem and throughout the play. Notably, the left-handed batter had a challenging outing in the first Test in Adelaide in his new role at No. 4, scoring 14 runs off 27 deliveries.
