‘He could be the next Jacques Kallis of international……’ – Nathan Lyon makes bold claim about star all-rounder

Australia star cricketer Nathan Lyon heaped praise on star all-rounder Cameron Green and called him the next Jacques Kallis of international cricket. Notably, Australia are currently playing the second Test match against the West Indies at the Gabba in Brisbane, and they will be looking to win the Test match on Day 4 after winning the first Test match at Adelaide.

However, the great spinner reveals that Cameron Green is very lethal to him when they practice in the game, and he gives him a lot of headaches. The 36-year-old cricketer enjoys watching Cameron Green bat at number four, and he hopes to see him go to the epitome of the level in the upcoming years for his home side.

“There is so much confidence in that change room around all the guys and not just Smithy batting at No.1 and Cameron at number four. I have had the challenge of bowling to Green in Shield cricket with him batting at No.4 and he has given me a lot of headaches. I actually enjoy seeing him bat at number four and I feel like he could be the next Jacques Kallis of international cricket at number four,” Nathan Lyon said to reporters on Day 3.

Steve Smith is arguably the best problem solver I have ever played with: Nathan Lyon

Nathan Lyon also talks about his teammate and Australia’s great batter, Steve Smith, who has taken the spot as the opener after David Warner retired from Test cricket. Moreover, the South Wales-born cricketer shared their few talks with Steve Smith and called him a problem-solving person.

“I don’t need to talk about Smithy; his numbers speak for themselves. There has been no-one worried about Smithy’s form. We are talking about arguably the greatest player of the last decade and there is a lot of talk about his batting. I sit here and laugh because he is arguably the best problem solver I have ever played with,” he added further.
