Abhishek Sharma gets summoned by Gujarat police over 28-year-old model’s suicide case

The 28-year-old model Tania Singh has died by suicide and the reason behind it is unknown. She was a resident of Happy Elegance Apartment on Vesu Road in Surat and has been pursuing fashion designing and modelling for the past one and a half to two years. Moreover, before taking her life, Tania had sent texts to Sunrisers Hyderabad cricketer, Abhishek Sharma. But there was no response from his side and thus, police summoned him for further questioning.

Moreover, Surat Police’s ACP V.R. Malhotra informed about a CD-R report of the model Tania Singh that has been released. Also, the police will be sending a notice to Abhishek for questioning via WhatsApp. In the upcoming days, he’ll be called for questioning regarding the case. Due to his involvement, this case has taken a celebrity angle and has become a high-profile case.

The investigation started in Surat and the cricketer will be called to the state for further questioning. Tania’s family is going through a period of grief as they lost their daughter at such an early age. However, the involvement of Abhishek in the case might hamper his upcoming career. As the IPL is approaching, this case might hinder the mental peace of the cricketer which might ruin his form.

Abhishek Sharma’s cricket journey in 2023

Abhishek Sharma played for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2023 and scored 226 runs from 11 matches. Moreover, he is playing for the Punjab squad in the ongoing Ranji season. The season is not at all going well for the cricketer as he has played in four matches, scoring 199 runs at a sub-par average of 28.42.

Abhishek was retained by the SunRisers Hyderabad as they began their training for the 2024 Indian Premier League. Moreover, after Punjab were unable to get past the quarterfinals, the cricketer started practising with the SRH team.
