WATCH: Multan Sultan’s Kieron Pollard takes a stunner to dismiss Karachi Kings batter in Pakistan Super League
Multan Sultan’s all-rounder Kieron Pollard took a stunner in the 11th fixture of the Pakistan Super League. They played against Karachi Kings on Wednesday, February 22 at the Multan Cricket Stadium. In every franchise league, Pollard participates. He consistently makes at least one outstanding catch, and the one he made here, has been nothing less than extraordinary.
Shoaib Malik attempted to make a move by hitting a slower one as hard as he could as the Kings chased a huge total. It appeared for a little while that Pollard at long-on would easily miss the ball because he didn’t get the timing or elevation. Kieron Pollard, on the other hand, reacted swiftly and rapidly covered the ground to make a fantastic diving catch. His excitement was sufficient to convey how delighted he was.

Imad Wasim’s knock went in vain
Multan’s skipper Mohammad Rizwan struck an amazing hundred, leading to a score of 196/2 in their allotted 20 overs. Although James Vince played an absolute blinder of a knock, scoring 75 runs off just 34 balls. The target of 197 always looked like a difficult one.
The chase by Karachi seems to have stopped when Vince was dismissed. Imad Wasim, the captain, stepped out to bat and played a remarkable cameo of 46. Even though, the Kings were defeated by just three runs.
Kieron Pollard’s catch to remove Shoaib Malik from the game was essential in this situation. Malik had already demonstrated his power-hitting ability in the competition and had he paired with Imad once more, Karachi could have reached the total.
Multan Sultans have won four of their first five games in PSL, maintaining their lead over the competition. After yet another unsuccessful effort, the Karachi Kings are stuck in fourth place. On Thursday, Peshawar Zalmi will take on two-time champions Islamabad United under the leadership of Pakistan skipper Babar Azam.
