If people thought that Mumbai would struggle to get going without top pacer Jasprit Bumrah, think again. England’s premium speedster Jofra Archer is there to sort them out. The Mumbai social media crew shared a video on Friday showing Archer tearing into Mumbai’s openers, Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan, at full throttle.

Both the right- and left-handers struggled to keep up with the Englishman’s speed. All of the players who would now confront him during the Indian T20 League season will undoubtedly feel uneasy after watching this clip.

Why was Rohit Sharma not present for the captains’ meet?

The Mumbai Indians skipper was ill and was unable to make the Indian T20 League’s Captains Meet. The cause of his illness is unknown to the public and Rohit was also absent from the Indian T20 League captains’ picture shoot, but he will probably play in Mumbai’s opening game against Bangalore on April 2.

Rohit is a crucial character, and having him on the team would be extremely beneficial. Rohit might sit out a few games because the Test Championship final will take place right after the Indian T20 League playoffs.Mumbai’s head coach, Mark Boucher, made a suggestion during the team’s pre-tournament news conference that the team might let Rohit take a break for one or two games due to his workload management. 

Mark Boucher spoke about Rohit taking rest during the press conference and said that,” In regards to resting Rohit, he is the captain. Hopefully he gets into some good sort of form and I hope he doesn’t want to rest. But yeah, we all adapt to different situations. If I can get the best out of him as a captain and player, that will be great. If it means he wants to rest 1 or 2 games, then I will do that. Absolutely, no problem.”
