Virat Kohli reveals who is the most underrated batter in IPL
Virat Kohli is one of the greatest batters of all-time and has a massive fan following for his exploits with Team India as well as Royal Challengers Bangalore. He has scored runs across all formats in almost every country he has played in. He has made great partnerships with some of the elite names of the game and has played with a lot of cricketers in his career till now.
Ambati Rayudu is another player who has played a lot of great innings for the Indian cricket team and was one of the pinnacles of the Indian batting between 2018 and 2019. However, after his surprise exclusion from the Indian Team’s 2019 World Cup squad, he announced his retirement and is only seen playing in domestic tournaments as well as the Indian Premier League.
Virat Kohli and Ambati Rayudu had great partnerships whilst they played for Team India. Kohli was the skipper for the Indian team during Rayudu’s success period for the side. In one of the earlier interviews, a few months before the 2019 World Cup, Kohli said that Ambati Rayudu has been the most consistent batters for the team and he is locked down at number 4 for the side for the 2019 World Cup.
However, as it turned out, Rayudu was excluded from World Cup squad as Vijay Shankar was preferred ahead of him.
What did Virat Kohli say about Ambati Rayudu in a recent interview?
Virat Kohli, recently, spoke about the current Chennai Super Kings batter in an interview. He was asked the question of who according to him is the most underrated batter he has played with. This might be a great answer from Kohli and might have been a signal to the Indian selection committee to select the right people who have been with the team and have been performing for the team rather than looking for which player offers more in different departments of the game.
Virat Kohli will be in action again as he will set out to play the Punjab Kings at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali. They are coming on the back of a defeat at the hands of Ambati Rayudu’s team Chennai Super Kings and would be looking to get back to winning ways.
