Bollywood actress Ananya Pandey picked her player to win the Orange Cap in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League. In a conversation with Star Sports, ahead of the ongoing match between Kolkata Knight Riders, Ananya said that the RCB batter Virat Kohli will be ending the IPL 2023 season as the leading run-scorer.
Ananya came to the pre-match show ahead of the ongoing match to promote her upcoming movie “Dream Girl 2,” which will be released in theatres on July 7th. It will be the sequel to the 2019 film Dream Girl, where Ayushman Khurana was seen in the main role, along with Nushrat Bharucha.
Kohli had a good outing in IPL 2023 so far as the 34-year-old has amassed 279 runs from the seven games played so far with an average of 46.50 with four half-centuries and currently is standing in the fifth position in the list of leading run scorers of the season.
This season, Kohli has also been seen back in the captaincy duties for RCB as Faf du Plessis came as an impact player in against Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals, and the ongoing match against KKR. Under Kohli’s captaincy, RCB went on to win back-to-back matches while defending a total and will be looking to continue their winning momentum against KKR.
RCB in IPL 2023
Talking about RCB’s performance in IP 2023, they started the season well with a convincing victory against Mumbai Indians. However, they couldn’t their momentum in the next two matches as they were bowled out for 123 runs against KKR at the Eden Gardens losing the game by 81 runs, and lost to Lucknow Super Giants in the last ball of a high-scoring thriller at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. After that, RCB registered 3 wins in the next four games.
Meanwhile, KKR started their season well with two wins from the first three games. After that, they lost momentum as they went on to lose their next four games consecutively. They will be looking to be back at their winning ways after a victory against RCB
