Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), although are not among the most decorated Indian Premier League (IPL) sides, are known for keeping fans engaged with action and entertainment on the field. And the IPL 2023 has been no different for the Bengaluru-based team, as they have facilitated fans with some enthralling cricket and on-field drama among players.

The Arun Jaitley Stadium on Saturday night saw RCB and Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj get into a verbal altercation with a Delhi Capitals overseas player Phil Salt, just a week after the infamous incident in Lucknow, where the fight between Virat Kohli as well as Gautam Gambhir dominated the news.

DC had a great time pursuing 182 with Salt serving as the lead wrecker. In the fifth over, he appeared to be in superb form and went after Siraj. On the very first two balls, the Englishman hit back-to-back sixes, then a boundary upon the third. The attack appeared to have upset the right-arm quick, who bowled a bouncer on the subsequent delivery, but it was called a wide.

Salt and Siraj then got into a fight, and the bowler was seen furiously pointing his index finger at the batsman. Prior to the umpire speaking with the players, Warner stepped in and attempted to resolve the conflict.

But happily, things didn’t get out of hand like they did in Lucknow. Delhi Capitals defeated RCB by 7 wickets having 20 balls remaining for their biggest victory of the year. Despite making fifty runs, Kohli’s homecoming was ruined, and Salt ended up ruining the party for the visitors.

The game was over, and it was time to exchange traditional handshakes. The players hugged each other warmly, surprising some who had predicted that Salt and Siraj would fight again.

Royal Challengers Bangalore stayed in fifth place after this significant loss but the Delhi Capitals made huge strides as they climbed up one position to ninth for the first time in the Indian Premier League 2023

Siraj has been lively with the ball who's bowling amazingly well in the powerplay. But he should keep his emotions in check especially when the other party hasn't poked you first. But what's important is not what happened but how it ended. That's what sport is all about. Good!
