‘Zindagi me sirf yehi dekhna baki reh gaya tha’ – Fans react as Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav dress up old in ad-shoot

On May 9, 2023, Mumbai Indians (MI) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) played in the ongoing IPL at Wankhede Stadium. Both Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav were in action. Yadav was named Player of the Match as MI easily prevailed in the game. While trying to score 200 runs, he hammered 83 runs off just 35 balls, including seven fours and six sixes.

A picture of both of these MI players in a previously unseen avatar from an advertisement has gone viral. When they saw it, supporters were in a frenzy and posted their opinions on social media. After this victory, MI are now in third place, while RCB are now in seventh place.

Suryakumar Yadav was adjudged the ‘Man of the Match’ against RCB

Suryakumar Yadav struggled to get going in the competition. But the MI batter has had success in his last six games. He has four fifty-run innings under his belt in the previous six, and MI fans are feeling rather relieved to see him putting up such rapid runs again.

After defeating RCB and being named Player of the Match, Yadav said, “Your practice has to be the same as what you intend to do in matches. I know where my runs are. We have open net sessions. I know my game. I don’t do anything different. Much needed from the team’s point of view. I am very happy to win a home game like this. I mean, they come up with a plan. They tried to make me hit the bigger part. Take the pace off and bowl slow. I said Nehal, let’s hit it hard and hit it into the gaps and run hard.”

At the same time, MI skipper Rohit Sharma said: “I have no idea what a safe score is. The last four games, we have seen excess of 200 has been scored. Most of the teams are taking risks, and it is coming off. The batters are taking risks, and 200-plus scores are being chased. The mindset of the batters is to do something special for the team, and it is coming off as well.”
