Notably, the former Pakistani bowler says Babar Azam and Co. have to find ways to dismiss India’s skipper Rohit Sharma early owing to his terrific form against the Men in Green, especially during the 50-over format. Meanwhile, India’s top-order batter Rohit Sharma has 720 runs to his credit against Pakistan in an ODI featuring six fifties and two centuries.

“Pakistan have to find a way to dismiss Rohit Sharma early. He has consistently scored big against Pakistan. Babar and Imam need to see off India’s new ball burst,” Wahab Riaz said on Zalmi TV.
In addition, the left-arm pacer feels whichever team racks up the most runs in the first 10 overs will get the grip to win the match. Moreover, the 38-year-old cricketer feels it will be the battle of the new ball as both sides are heavily dependent on their top three batters to score big in the much-anticipated encounter.
“Whichever team makes the most of the first 10 overs will have the grip on the game. Both India’s and Pakistan’s batting are dependent on their respective top 3 to score big and that’s why I feel it will be a battle of the new ball,” he added further.
