‘Agle saal Tony Kakkar ko bhi bula lena’ – Fans react as Indian rappers Divine and King set to perform in IPL 2023 final

After a mind-blowing opening ceremony in the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League, the Indian Cricket Board have planned another starry night for the final which will be played at the biggest cricket stadium in the world, Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, May 28. The four-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have already qualified for the final and their opponent will be decided on Friday, May 26 after the second qualifier clash between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Gujarat Titans (GT).

Indian rappers Divine, King, and Nucleya are set to perform in the grand league’s final. Indian famous singer Jonita Gandhi will also join them for an outstanding closing ceremony. The official Twitter account of IPL informed this on Friday and tweeted, “Ahmedabad __ – You are in for a treat! Brace yourselves for an iconic evening as King and @NUCLEYA have some power-packed performances in store for you. How excited are you to witness the two in action.”

Will Shumbman Gill continue his brilliant form?

The IPL 2023 championship game is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. IST which is half an hour late than regular games because of the pre-game closing ceremony. Due to the opening ceremony, even the first game between GT and CSK began at 8 pm. Some acts during the closing ceremony may occur before the toss while others could take place during the innings break. Meanwhile, there are also some rumors that the legendary music composer AR Rahman and Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh might perform in the closing ceremony.

Talking about the 2nd qualifier between MI and GT, the Hardik Pandya-led team will hope to see a big knock from their young opener Shubman Gill who is currently the second-highest Indian run-getter with 722 runs in an IPL season behind Virat Kohli’s 973 runs in IPL 2016. He is also nine runs away from bagging the Orange Cap from Faf du Plessis. If he does that, he will be the sixth India to finish as the highest run-getter in a season.
