‘Allah kare ki result aaye, inki bowling…’ – Shahid Afridi takes a dig at Rawalpindi’s pitch

Currently, Pakistan are busy playing the three-match home Test series opener in Rawalpindi against England. However, England created history on Day One after becoming the first team to score more than 500 runs. Even, four different batters smashed hundreds for England on the same day.

Pakistan bowlers were absolutely clueless while bowling against England’s batters. Ben Stokes and his men thrashed Pakistan bowlers all around the park at their will. After watching that, fans came up with huge criticism of the Pakistan Cricket Board. Now, Shahid Afridi came up with a huge dig at the Rawalpindi pitch.

“Inn pitches pe Naseem Shah bhi 70-80 run kar dega.” – Shahid Afridi

While speaking on Samaa TV, Shahid Afridi said that this type of match is not enjoyable for fans. He also said that the game was quite boring while England were batting in the first innings. He said: “You don’t enjoy such matches. Ek stage pe toh mera dil nahi chaa raha tha match dekhne ka. Bohot hi boring ho gaya tha, bowlers ke liye kuch hai hi nahi.”

“Batsmen bhi agar maar diye toh maar diye. Maza nahi aaya. Allah kare ki result aaye, inki bowling lineup bhi aisi hai ki shayad Pakistan ko do baar out naa kar paayein.” he added. Afridi further added that if Pakistan want to qualify for the final of the World Test Championship then they need to defeat big teams like England.

“Hamko agar final me jaana hai, badi badi teams ko haraana hai, toh hamein bowlers ko confidence dena padega. Ham shell pe chale jaate hain ki kahi batsman naa out ho jaayein. Come on, thoda positive sochna padega. Hamaari batting achhi hai, achhi seaming pitches khilao. Inn pitches pe Naseem Shah bhi 70-80 run kar dega,” Shahid Afridi concluded. Speaking of the match, England batted first and put up a mammoth score of 657 runs in 101 overs. In reply, Pakistan have managed to score 499 runs for seven wickets in 136 overs. Currently, the Men in Green are training England by 158 runs at the end of Day three.
