Apple CEO Tim Cook attends DC vs KKR in Delhi, receives signed bat from Parth Jindal

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 match between the Delhi Capitals (DC) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) was seen by Apple’s CEO at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. After the game, the Delhi Capitals owner Parth Jindal gave Cook the signed bat, and the picture quickly became widespread on social media.

After opening the Apple shop in the nation’s capital, Cook unexpectedly visited the stadium. He was spotted along with Rajeev Shukla, vice-president of the BCCI, Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor, and dignitaries and officials from the Delhi & District Cricket Association. He has travelled to India to attend the launch of the local Apple store. Cook just opened the first Apple store in India at Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex before opening one in Delhi. Earlier, in a rain-delayed IPL 2023 match, a strong bowling performance and captain David Warner’s crucial fifty helped Delhi Capitals earn their first victory of the year by defeating Kolkata Knight Riders by four wickets.

DC knocked out KKR for a pitiful 127 in 20 overs due to Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Ishant Sharma, and Anrich Nortje’s outstanding performances. For KKR, who frequently lost wickets, Jason Roy’s tenacious 43 off 39 with Andre Russell’s 38 not out off 31 remained the only heroic performances. It wasn’t an easy run chase though as Delhi took their time in the middle overs and ended the match in the final over.

Hundreds of people lined up in front of the store early in the morning to see the store and the Apple CEO. The primary goals of the official Apple Store are to improve the shopping experience for customers and to strengthen the company’s position in the offline retail sector.

However, the Delhi store is significantly smaller compared to the Mumbai location. It will continue to feature all Apple goods, experiences, and services, much like the Apple BKC. The team at the Apple Saket store, which consists of 70 people from 18 different Indian states, can serve customers in around 15 different languages. Women make up half of these employees.
