Star India wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson is one of those players who has been phenomenal in domestic cricket. He is one of those players who constantly perform in domestic and Indian Premier League and is still waiting for his India call-up. Meanwhile, a RR trainer has praised his commitment to the game and compared Samson with MS Dhoni.

Speaking about his IPL salary and how he spends it, Samson’s trainer revealed that Samson uses two crore rupees to groom young cricketers. He said, “Sanju Samson gets around 15 crores, minimum 2 crores he helps domestic players & children who have lots of talent, more than Sanju the player, everyone wants Sanju the human to be successful and that is why he has lots of support.”

Notably, Sanju Samson joined the Rajasthan Royals in 2013 and has since developed into one of the team’s main players. He took over as captain in 2021 and guided the team to the finals the following year, where they were defeated by the Gujarat Titans. Samson was given a couple of opportunities in the ODI team and performed admirably, hitting 330 runs in 11 matches at an average of 66, but because of fierce competition, he was never given a long rope.

“I asked him to leave RR”, Samson’s trainer reveals

Further speaking about Samson’s captaincy skills and how he groomed this Rajasthan Royals team, his trainer said that Samson wanted to make RR a big team. He said, “I told Sanju Samson to join some big teams in IPL after 2021 but he replied that I want to make Rajasthan Royals a big team, he further told that let’s bring big players like Ashwin, Chahal, and Prasidh into the team. He has the vision.”

Notably, Samson will be looking to get selected for the upcoming West Indies tour where India is set to play three ODIs and Five T20Is apart from a two-match Test series. India’s West Indies tour will begin on July 12 and till then the team will have an off for a month. Meanwhile, India lost the WTC finals against Australia in The Oval and it might decide some careers in the longest format of the game.
